The Plym, Cad & Meavy Salmon Season

GoldWillieGunn_grande.jpg

Hello,

A message to all members. The Salmon season opens on the Plym (including the Meavy and Cad) Wednesday 31st March.

Please remember that all fish must returned up until 16th June, and after that only even numbered fish up to a season limit of 3 fish can be kept for the table with the first fish being released and all alternate fish thereafter.

In anticipation that we'll have some good catches this year, I am forwarding on this catch and release guide for the Wye and Usk Foundation, How to look after your salmon:

https://wyes.foleon.com/passport/catch-release-for-salmon-an-anglers-guide/cover/

We don't mandate the replacing of treble hooks at our Association. However, I would be interested to hear member's views.

With thanks,

Jason Harper (PDFAA Secretary)
